Vogue Paris June/July 2013 : Andreea Dianconu

Take a look at the cover of Vogue Paris's latest issue. Romanian model Andreea Dianconu wears nothing but grains of sand as she stares into the camera.

At first glance, I quite like this cover (it's much better than last month's, sorry Freja). This is Andreea's first Vogue cover, and it's refreshing to see a different face than Kate Moss.

But, looking at the photo for longer, I'm a bit put off by the fact that it's pretty much the same colors: blue, white, gold. I think it'd be better if they had also made the 'Vogue' in gold, like they had with last year's June/July cover with Gisele. In fact, both covers are somewhat similar.

Both women have tanned skin and wind-swept hair, and are covered in sand (to varying degrees). You can see the blue sky and blue water in the backgrounds. Both issues feature articles about bodies ("corps") and fashion (of course).
