I wa super excited this summer to hear that Kristen Stewart would be returning as the face of Florabotanica. I really love the fragrance, even if I'm not a KStew fan. She's definitely pretty, despite her awkwardness that nearly always translates in photography.
But I'm slightly disappointed in the new shot. The previous ads, shot by Steven Meisel, were much more vibrant and eye-catching, even if KStew looked half dead in one shot, and even if Nicholas Ghesquière decided to recycle old clothes for the shoot.
The new shot is superbly stunning but simple...a bit too simple for my tastes and too focused on Kristen, whereas the previous ads were more focused on the 'atmosphere' created by the perfume and where Kristen was more of a secondary element.
