What I learned today: butter is hard to cut
Stupid recipes for asking for 'room temperature' butter. Stupid Mom for saying I shouldn't just microwave it. Stupid chunks strewn all over the place because of my stupid idea.
But the cake turned out OK...-ish. It's still sort of raw on the inside, despite 45 minutes of cooking and some more time in the oven when we realized it wasn't cooked through. But the outside's nice and crisp, which I usually don't go for, but I like it. It's super greasy because we don't have one of those cooking brushes to spread butter around the container, so I was slathering it on with a butter knife. All all the chocolate chunks sunk to the bottom.
