I've never made crumble before. My mother made a peach one the other night, but I was too busy admiring the Citizen K editorial to help.
I didn't know so much butter was involved. And I didn't know that I had to mix up the flour, sugar and butter with my hands, so the mix got all under my nails and it was a chore to clean out. And it was difficult to make it "crumbly" too. The butter kept staying in clumps and I had to squash them between my fingers. And then my mother burned it. Can't trust that woman with anything.
