Vogue Paris brings back its biannual collections editorial, showcasing this season's looks from 75 brands. As always, it features an ensemble cast, and this time is shot by David Sims.
Featuring Anna Ewers, Gisele Bündchen, Hana Jirickova, Edie Campbell, Anja Rubik,
Natalie Westling, Julia Bergshoeff, Kirsten Owen, Natasha Poly, Karolin
Wolter, Lexi Boling, Mica Arganaraz, Rianne von Rompaey, Julia Nobis,
Liu Wen, Leona “Binx” Walton, Karlie Kloss, Aya Jones, Issa Lish, Suvi
Koponen, Jean Campbell, and Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov.
As you may have surmised, not all 75 looks are here. That would be a pain to down-and-upload, so you can see them here and here.
The editorial as a whole is hardly amazing. Sure, it's nice to have one huge ed displaying the collections, but it's so...boring. I like David Sims' photography (and he did the collections editorial for the August 2010 issue!), but this is so bland. Why shoot all the looks in a studio? That means you have to rely a lot more on the models' ability and the styling. The styling is nice, but some of the models just don't deliver.
